I don't think I've ever stuck with anything to 100, so this blog should feel pretty lucky.
So what was I doing when I sat down to write my 100th post?
I was: Listening to Gypsy and the Cat's 'Jona Vark', drinking a Strawberry Boost Juice, and having an IM conversation about some flash fiction I wrote in class today.
Wow. Pretty unmomentous. Still it's been a good day. Unlike yesterday, when I rear ended a parked car and spent the rest of my day feeling super bad about it and whining about bad karma.
Maybe it's time to reflect on all the cool things I've done since I started this blog.
I have: finished high school
come second and third in some competitions
started a historical novel
started myt English/ History degree at Uni
completed several drafts of my novel
participated in Nanowrimo and completed a 50000 word draft in 30 days
written for a magazine
made writerly friends and connections
seen Tim Winton read from Breath
been in a play
written quite a few short stories and a few poems (but not many of those)
read a lot of books
got my driver's licence
There are probably so many things left off of this list. I don't really care though, I just felt like celebrating a bit and if that makes me lame... well then I guess I'm lame.
Stick with me though.
