While I didn't manage to get anything published, or even placed in any competitions, I feel as if this year has been about growth. I have grown as a writer and my support network has grown ever wider. I am ready for a 2014 full of words and wisdom.

And of course, my wonderful and supportive family and friends, who do amazing things like cut articles out of the paper for me, and text me an entry form for the 2014 Premier's Literary Award when my book hasn't even been sent to any publishers yet. (Love you Dad, you're the sweetest.) To A.C.- Thank you for putting up with me!
Here's to a wonderful 2014!
Sounds like you've had a busy, productive and successful year, Emily! Wishing you nothing but the best for 2014. Long may you read, and write!
ReplyDeleteYou have achieved a lot this year, Emily. You are a wonderful writer -- your voice is gorgeous and characteristic, and you have the ability to pinpoint the theme of a piece. Your book reviews nail it! Just keep on writing, keep on writing (as Dory would say), and you'll get there. You pick things up quickly and are able to incorporate it into your work. Thanks for your help with my writing, too. The things you pick up on are the things I miss, and I need that. Thanks and lots of love, Louise. xx
ReplyDeleteA year of growth is a pretty good year! Nice work, Rambling Elimy. And my thanks to YOU. x
ReplyDeleteNo problem! Best wishes for 2014!
